Eric....Thanks for all the info on SIMS. I've got a couple of questions....which might be a little naive since I have never used (or even seen) a phone with a SIM.

1) I kind of assume that when you talk about SIM's being incorporated into CDMA2000 you are talking about 3xrtt....it seems like they might be already too late to do it for 1xrtt. Is this correct?

2) Would there be any problems with a rollout of SIM's in CDMA since it would be likely done piecemeal? Basically the scenario I can see playing out is that operators are likely only to start a CDMA2000 (3x) rollout in selected areas. At this point you would have phones which are non SIM (IS-95/1xrtt) and SIM (3xrtt) attempting to communicate with basestations that might or might not be upgraded.
