I talked to my friend this week at a mutual fund Co. and he stated that since the Bre-X mess, many brokerage houses and some funds have had to sell a variety of their portfolio's holdings no matter how good the company.This is especially true for larger capitalized stocks where there was some larger sized holding and they sell no matter what the price.(e.g. directions to broker to be a seller of at least half the volume of the weekly, daily trades).
