NEW YORK, Dec 16, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Showstar Online.com,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ABID) announced today that traffic to its art
mega-site Artstar.com for the two weeks ending December 9 increased
400% over the first two weeks of operations ended November 12.

Over 2.3 million hits were recorded on the site in the six weeks
following the Artstar.com launch October 28, 1999 and traffic continues
to rise with the site now averaging over 2,000 unique users daily. The
average user session length tripled over the same time period from four
minutes to an average of over twelve minutes. The site's Coca-Cola

The increase in traffic coincides with the commencement of the
Company's on-line advertising which began November 18, a major print
advertising campaign which began December 6, and publicity surrounding
the Company's first online auction, including coverage by hundreds of
newspapers across the nation such as The Wall Street Journal, The
Boston Globe and also CNN.com and USAToday.com.

"The amount of time visitors are spending on the site is particularly
encouraging," said CEO John Punzo. "In addition Artstar.com has
increased its feature set over the past two weeks, adding an online
auction platform and full e-commerce functionality. Over 25,000
art-related items are now for sale on the site, including original art,

items expected to be added before the New Year. Our advertising

(OTC BB:ABID)

Showstar Online.com, Inc. (OTC BB:ABID) today announced a strategic
decision to develop its existing Internet products and many of the
Company's new innovations on the Linux operating system.

"This is an important strategic move. Utilizing Linux has significant
advantages and will make our web technology applications more stable,
reliable and cost effective." said Showstar Online.com President John
Punzo. "By committing to the Linux platform Showstar can continue to
