Your post # 35689 should be read by every PAIR long once a day! It cuts right to the peanut.
If I might add one small item? You can buy PAIR today, for $450 Million (+/- 100M) and that price is without an MCI or BA or major contract announcement.
No one really knows if they have that kind of major contract in hand -- but I would think it would border on fraud if they are not at least finalists for some big dollar contracts.
MY PREDICTION: Within 3 months we have a break through LARGE contract announcement or PAIR will be in serious play.
LET ME OFFER AN ANALOGY: CPU (please don't groan, I'm serious here)
I bought CPU (@5+/6+)because I believed that with 6.5 BILLION in sales, management would either get their act together and show a profit or someone would buy them who could do that.
THE PAIR BOTTOM LINE: Instead of $6.5 Billion in sales, this management has the cutting edge DSL technology. Either they produce stock/shareholder/company value with that technololgy OR someone else will buy the co. out from underneath them and run with their ball!
ONE FINAL RANT: While I have, on occassion, offered a discouraging word, I think we should keep some perspective. If there is ANY possibility of a tender -- I believe that the higher the perceived stockholder anger, the lower the offer price. If a tender takes place, it will do so based on the ECONOMICS of the issue that BWAC so superbly outlined. If we (on this board) are consistently over the top in rabid criticism, we ultimately may ultimately be penalizing ourselves financially.
