To start this thread off, I have been hearing there is a possible merger between the American Bank of Connecticut and a much larger bank.

I do not currently have any substantiation of this rumor, but if it is true, the current share price of 23 1/2 would probably rise considerably as the float is only about 3.3 million shares.

The American Bank of CT has a pretty good looking financial picture and, I believe, would make a very attractive takeover target given its location.
