By integrating existing provisioning and trouble ticket systems with service management, CrossKeys enables Telecom Soluciones of Argentina to gain competitive advantage.
CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: CKEY - news; TSE: CKY - news) announced today that Telecom Soluciones of Argentina selected CrossKeys Resolve(r) software to manage its growing data network and demonstrate its quality of service to business customers. The web-based reporting capability of CrossKeys Resolve software and its ability to integrate with Telecom Soluciones existing operational support system (OSS) environment were key factors in the purchase decision. The sale was facilitated through Transistemas, a leading telecommunications equipment supplier in South America.
Telecom Soluciones is using CrossKeys software to offer comprehensive service level agreements (SLAs) to its business customers as a means to differentiate itself in a competitive marketplace. SLAs put service guarantees in black and white, reassuring business customers as they out-source the telecommunications networks and applications that are critical to their success. SLAs include commitments for network performance metrics and increasingly, non-network derived metrics that track service provider responsiveness. These include commitment and measurements of the 'mean time to provision' (the lag between a request to set up services, such as data and phone lines for a new office, and its completion) and 'mean time to repair' (the time between notification and resolution of a problem).
As a result, Telecom Soluciones faced the challenge of integrating the new service management solution they sought with their existing customer provisioning and trouble-ticketing systems. CrossKeys Resolve OSS Toolkit, which allows CrossKeys software to plug-and-play with other OSS functions (e.g., provisioning or billing) enabled this integration to happen. As a result, Telecom Soluciones can offer customer self-care abilities, such as automated entry and management of service orders and trouble tickets.
