(COMTEX) B: INTERACTIVE INTELLIGENCE REPORTS RECORD REVENUES - UP 119
B: INTERACTIVE INTELLIGENCE REPORTS RECORD REVENUES - UP 119% OVER SAME QUARTER
LAST YEAR AND 112% YEAR OVER YEAR

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan 27, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Interactive
Intelligence(R) (Nasdaq: ININ), developer of the interaction management
software solution known as the Enterprise Interaction Center(R) (EIC),
today announced record total revenues of $6.5 million for the quarter
ended December 31, 1999. This represents an increase of 119 percent
over total revenues of $3.0 million in the same quarter a year ago, and
an increase of 25 percent over total revenues of $5.2 million for the
third quarter of 1999. The net loss for the fourth quarter was $918,000
or $0.07 per share. This compares with a net loss of $2.1 million, or
$0.21 per share for the fourth quarter of 1998, and a net loss of $2.0
million or $0.18 per share for the third quarter of 1999. Total
revenues for all of 1999 were $19.1 million, an increase of 112 percent
over total revenues of $9.0 million for all of 1998. The net loss for
all of 1999 was $7.1 million, or $0.62 per share, which compares to a
net loss for 1998 of $7.4 million or $0.84 per share.

(Photo: newscom.com ) Software
license revenues for the fourth quarter of 1999 were up 95 percent from
the corresponding quarter last year, and up 23 percent from the
immediately preceding quarter in 1999. Software license revenues for
all of 1999 were up 86% when compared to software license revenues for
all of 1998.

"We are extremely pleased with the record financial results we achieved
in the fourth quarter and all of 1999," said Dr. Donald E. Brown,
president and chief executive officer. "This was our seventh
consecutive quarter of more than 90 percent top line revenue growth,
year over year. Our new business development continues to accelerate as
evidenced by our recent strategic investment in Interactive Portal, an
application service provider (ASP), and our expansion into Latin
America.

"We are also very pleased at the number of businesses which joined our
growing customer ranks in the fourth quarter. Important additions
included Bridgestone/Firestone, eConvergent, Now Online, the US Customs
Service and TRW. We are particularly pleased that Colfondos, a large
pension fund management company owned by Citibank, became our first
customer in Latin America.

"On the product front, we released e-FAQ, our exciting new e-mail
management product, in December. We also just rolled out an important
upgrade to our flagship product that adds significant new
functionality, allowing us to support a much wider range of e-mail
platforms including Novell Groupwise and Sun/Netscape Messaging Server
(in addition to existing support for Microsoft Exchange Server and
Lotus Notes). This upgrade, EIC 1.3-B, also allows our products to
integrate well with enterprise directory systems such as Microsoft
Active Directory, Sun/Netscape Directory Server, and Novell NDS. We
believe that 2000 will be the 'Year of Directory-enabled Applications,'
and EIC is well positioned to ride that wave."
