I don't know what THQI can do to change the current situation, other than continue to perform as they have over the past 4 or 5 years. Perhaps a buyback, but their cash is probably better spent on coming up with new and better products. To come out and publicly blame "shorts" for lousy stock performance (only over the past couple months) only inspires more shorts (I remember when ABTX's former CEO did the same thing on CNBC and looked like a total ass). It is clear that the original large short position was taken because shorts did not believe that THQI would survive the WCW/WWF transfer. Shorts were wrong then and see that the THQI/JAKK jv is a gold mine. So now it's accounting practices. Kudos to those who shot down Greenberg's piece. Shorts are desperate to get out of their massive position before February 1 and are pulling out all the stops.
