Yes, you are on the money here. PC market is exploding in Asia and S America. Japan, China and India are likely to have above 30% growth in the next couple of years. Europe is also doing well. So the over all CPU growth world wide will be far more than PC sales growth in the US market. This will be the pattern as the US PC market is maturing.

I read some news from Asia a while ago that China's PC market alone will be close to today's US market in the next 5-10 years. Even if it's remotely true, we are talking about tens of millions of CPU growth in that period. And that's one of the major reasons I am very long AMD. Intel will also do well in unit shipment.

Just my 2 cents.
