OK he was $20 ( maybe) over on the run-up price but he was right:-

1. To get out before earnings and

2. To keep your eyes on the actual earnings
and

3. The 40% 'correction'....well again nearly, $170 (his guess of where Q would be just before earnings) less 40% = $102 and we were $15 above that today and who knows tomorrow and for the next couple of weeks.

I thought very seriously about what Vol said but I took the view that the Dec qtr would be the biggest blow-out that the Q had ever had. What with CDMA taking off and everything now humming I really thought Q would blow it away. What I didn't reackon on was 'we think there might be a slowdown'. That threw me. I couldn't believe they would do that this time. But I guess Dr Jacobs has shown that he really knows what he is doing and so I gues we will just have to learn with living with a bit of daily nausea till Q starts its upward journey again.

The trouble with these extreme P/E stocks is that they never do things gradually, neither up nor as we have discovered in the last 48 hours on the way down.

Best regards,

L
