Those are good points.

If I were THQI, I would notify the SEC so they're aware of any attempts to manipulate the stock price.

I would spend a little money to find who is taking a large short position. Maybe a possible letter notifying these individuals that they are being watched etc..

I would make a statement NOW, clarifying and accounting methods and request a retraction from TheStreet.com. I would then follow that up with public statement indicating their SEC notification and that any attempts to manipulate the stock price through false statements or blatantly false remarks in stock chat rooms may lead to prosecution.

The bottom line - THQI will not stand by why their company and shareholders get manipulated.

These can be done without spending much time or money - little distraction from the company etc..

I wouldn't buy back shares or anything dramatic.

This would be similar to THQI's recent "great year" press release.
