David, In the near term, it looks like you made a great move getting out of the stock. However, over a 2 month time horizon, it remains to be seen whether your move was the correct one. We know how explosive this stock is. I would expect some sort of major rally starting mid February at the latest (unless we get that S and P thing by chance). The actual approval of the increase in shares on Feb 25 will generate a press release like it did last fall---the stock took off on that "news".

There are a lot of believers in this company that have taken profits (like KENT). Surely, you, Kent, and others will not be able to resist buying back in. It is just our nature to get back into companies that have a "bright" future.
I have sold stocks that i really believed in, only to buy back at higher prices. This fear of missing out on the next big move in JDSU will result in a lot of buying by the same people that sold.

Only when it disappoints (the way Dell of the past OR the current QCOM) will this stock lose its lustre. For now, management cannot contain themselves talking about their business.
For this reason, i believe we headed for much higher levels, even in the short term (2 to 3 months).

I still believe QCOM scared a lot of JDSU investors and that is a good thing for this stock going forward.
