You guys give these MM's too much credit. It's call supply and demand.

I don't believe so. There was another individual on SI named Sir Francis Drake who was quite knowledgeable. He seem to have many years of trading.

He described how a house could paint the tape with only few thousand shares of stock to have it go down. They use this procedure when the house wants the stock to push a stock down.

They line up a few well place sales and that will push the stock in the direction they want it to go. Then one or two more sales at the correct time will keep the stock moving in that direction.

The post was on the Microsoft thread how low will it go around Mar '99 or April '99.

It's something the day traders run into a great deal of the time. He was a day trader as well as an buy and hold investor.

I will try and find it.
