Alliance agreement with major phone directory publisher

that it has entered into an alliance agreement with one of North America's
leading publishers of telephone directories, Phone Directories Company. The
agreement will bring a number of traditional and Internet based directory
services to Canada Payphone in several areas:
Traditional Phone Directories: Canada Payphone locations in all 57
markets currently being served by Phone Directories Company, will feature
Phone Directories Company's traditional phone directories. This will provide
additional exposure for Phone Directories Company's display advertising
customers and a community phone directory at each payphone location.
Phone Directories Company to market Grapevine(TM) Video Display
advertising through its sales network: Through its 320 strong network of
sales people, Phone Directories Company will market video display advertising
and speed-dial buttons to its existing directory advertising customer base.
Exposure to this exciting and innovative form of advertising will provide
Phone Directories Company's rapidly expanding customer base with a much more
comprehensive advertising bundle than any other directory publisher. Phone
Directories Company's customers will be able to deliver a message to a broad
customer base through the use of traditional directory advertising, an
Internet portal and a full color video screen on Canada Payphone's new
interactive Grapevine(TM) terminals.
On-Line Directory Services: Canada Payphone's new Grapevine(TM) Network
Terminal full colour video screen, will offer Phone Directories Company's
online directory Area Guide(TM). The Grapevine(TM) combines a traditional
payphone with a full color video screen and interactive speed-dial buttons.
People on the go will have access to this cutting-edge directory service
delivered over the Internet wherever they find Canada Payphone's Grapevine(TM)
Network Terminals and Interactive Internet Kiosks. Through this portal,
consumers will be able to access more comprehensive information about
directory advertisers than ever before.
