Marsha -- Considering what JDSU has on its plate with ETEK and OCLI, I can't imagine there's any substance to the rumor. Just from a product standpoint, it doesn't make sense, either. Lots of overlap. Having said that, I'm sure JDSU would like SDLI's submarine technologies as well as their RAMAN modules. I keep thinking SDLI will merge with a spin-off of a major company like Corning or Lucent. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking. No matter. I'm not in for a take-over, but for the long haul. (no pun intended.) Pat
