QCOM mentioned your concern about "operator being allowed to monitor my exact location". From Qualcomm's SnapTrack announcement PR: "SnapTrack's unique Location on Demand(TM) feature will ensure a caller's privacy -- putting location information in the hands of the user, not the network."
