Dell's statement yesterday on alternative CPU vendor is HIGHLY hedged, notice "at this point of time"

Also catched Tom Meredith this morning on CNBC in responding to Liz C's question whether Dell would consider AMD, his remarks can be summarized as "we always evaluate alternative CPU and will continue doing so" There is NO clear cut death sentence for AMD, yet.

My sense is that Dell WILL use AMD, most likely 2H this year.

In the end, true capitalist win, which does favor the odd of Dell's defection to AMD.
