Here's a little snippet from Dell's last 10-K:

"G. Carl Everett, Jr., 48, Senior Vice President, Personal Systems Group -- Mr. Everett joined the Company in February 1998 as Senior Vice President, Desktops and Workstations, and currently serves as Senior Vice President, Personal Systems Group. Mr. Everett is responsible for worldwide development, marketing and strategic technological direction for the Company's desktop computer systems and notebook computer product lines. For over 18 years prior to joining the Company, Mr. Everett was employed by Intel Corporation, where he began in a field sales office and advanced into sales and marketing management. He was appointed vice president in 1989 and, until 1994, oversaw North American and then worldwide sales. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Everett served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Desktop Products Group. Prior to joining Intel in 1978..."

Considering that Dell is the only big box maker that has never bought from AMD and that AMD could achieve 30% market share without selling to them, let's not hold our breath waiting for these two to get together.
