They sell it for as much as they can get for it. The price is determined where supply meets demand. I find it reassuring that the price at which the entire production of RDRAM is able to be sold is so high - more royalty revenue.

As supply increases, the point at which supply meets demand will come down. With the impending ramp of RDRAM production, that should happen fairly soon. As per Dell's comments in the CC, they couldn't get enough of the stuff at the prices some consider high.

I believe in Rambus as a technology I just hope they can make it cheap enough and soon
