Normally I don't respond to my own posts, but someone just pointed out something to me in a private message. In complaining about the insults hurled by various shorts at the longs here in the past week I resorted to insults myself, calling them "scum" and "low-lifes" and implying a low level of intelligence. Clearly a pot and kettle situation and I apologize for those terms. They were unnecessary to make my point about the difference in outlook and research interest between short-sellers and long-term investors. We all need to make special efforts to restore this board to the high standard it had before this past week so I will start with my own messages and avoid such inappropriate comments in the future.
