Don't think it is a forecasting problem. They just flat out don't have the capacity to build as much as the market wanted last Q. This is true for flash in general. That is why companies are now building more capacity. The big question which my previous two posts addresses is, will this new capacity eventually overwhelm the market, a la DRAMs? Not any time soon, for sure. Next year some time? Hard to say, but, as I said earlier, at least plausibly not, at least not to the extent of the DRAM crisis, and, in any case, Sandisk has at least some protection built in through their IP and royalty agreements.
