Sometimes a weaker dollar is actually preferable in terms of off setting any trade imbalance... that is, a weaker dollar helps our exports and, in that sense, is good for U.S. business involved with exporting goods to our overseas trade partners... so, you're right that a weaker dollar can also go hand in hand with a stronger market... it all depends on the economic posture and business cycle at the time.....
