Janus, a 30-year-old unit of railroad operator Kansas City Southern Industries Inc., manages about $250 billion and has been investing in fast-growing U.S. industries. The mutual-fund company in November began accumulating 12 percent of No. 1 video-game publisher Electronic Arts Inc., an investment worth about $556.7 million, based on yesterday's closing price of 73 1/16.
