Either that, or Thunderbird still has a few bugs in its design, which is entirely possible. In other words, AMD can indeed flip the switch on Thunderbird production anytime it wants to, provided that the core design itself has been totally debugged. Something tells me that with the rumors of a Tbird delay, the core hasn't been sufficiently debugged yet. (EDIT: I could be wrong about the Tbird slip, or not. Either way, AMD would still need a debugged core before they can just "flip the switch.")
