When I was working on my taxes, I noticed that my former broker, Scottsdale, screwed me out of a few pennies a trade by rounding the decimal expression of the fractions in their favor. It didn't even match what the confirmation slip said, but was never more than 4 cents different. Oddly, the decimal rounding never worked IN my favor. It wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with it, so I just let it go, but I think over time this must really add up.
