I've been thinking about our discussions from early last spring when I first joined, regarding the effect of eMachines entry into the sub-$600 market on DELL's need to raise market share in the individual and small business market. [In fact, I posted a message on this point on that other board today.]

Just so that I don't have to repeat it.

The individual and small business markets are in the sub-$1,000 market and that is the market that is growing the most. It simply makes sense that if DELL wanted to keep its revenue growth in the 40% area, it would have to move aggressively into this market.

Yet, it didn't.

Puzzling that none of the analyst reports I've seen mention this at all. Perhaps it really isn't very important to the overall valuation of the company?
