Gary, we are investing and in investing we obviously are trying to get the best returns on our investments. What I am essentially alluding to is that our capital is better invested in 3Com than Cisco, MSFT or Dell or QCom at this moment in time. The potential return on 3Com is phenomenal!!!!!!!!!
Regarding cracks in Cisco's ship I will be brief, the mere fact that growth in the Core sector is slowing, which EB has alluded to on many occasions, and the fact that they are forced to focus on the mid-size to small business sector where they know competition is much fiercer and margins smaller is a manifestation of the impending slow down in the Core sector. This is an inflection point in their business and credit should be given to Cisco for their prescience, but prescience is no guarantee for growth rather it minimizes loss. I don't wish to expound interminably but I thought I drop a few ideas as food for thought.
Good luck to everyone and may the better person win. I have chosen my path and in the near term I have picked 3Com. Name it what you may, Luck, Prescience, Fate, or whatever, but I have done well sticking with my calculus, however outlandish it may appear to you. |
