I am pretty sure Scumbria did not comment on relative speeds of Athlon and Wilamette at the end of the year. To be sure Scumbria said something on the lines that Wilamette wouldn't be any better than Athlon in performance and I chimed in saying that it would be so if not for mutlithtreading.

I used to give Intel and edge on Wilamette MHz. Not anymore - at least not for 2000!

And remember there is coming from the only guy on this thread that accurately called the timing of PIII-800MHz volumes!

As for Maxwell, I have no idea who this guy is except that he started posting out of the blue and seems to have a lot of friends on this thread. Now, could you tell me why you don't believe him when he say PIII will not go past 800MHz (which some of us know is not true) and believe him when he says Wilamette will kick Mustang's butt?
