Chuck - <I am pretty sure Scumbria did not comment on relative speeds of Athlon and Wilamette at the end of the year.>

I asked scumbria specifically on MHz between Athlon and Willamette, although there was no end of the year stipulation. Scumbria cited "Intel's transistors".

<And remember there is coming from the only guy on this thread that accurately called the timing of PIII-800MHz volumes!>

No you're not. I also said supply would be pretty light until later in the Q on the 800's. February at the earliest.

<I used to give Intel and edge on Wilamette MHz. Not anymore - at least not for 2000!>

Best of luck. I would not take that bet.

<As for Maxwell, I have no idea who this guy is except that he started posting out of the blue and seems to have a lot of friends on this thread. Now, could you tell me why you don't believe him when he say PIII will not go past 800MHz (which some of us know is not true) and believe him when he says Wilamette will kick Mustang's butt?>

Because I didn't say I "believed him" I just find the contrast interesting, if you have followed his posts in the past.

Settle down.
