Talk of calling today's market action right on the
money, NABI closed exactly at 6 as I predicted and
found support at 5 7/8. Unfortunately, being
correct hurt financially. FYI, Raymond James
downgraded NABI to accumulate from buy today. I
also heard the conference call thanks to the phone
number supplied by Tom D. Gury did say that the
shortfall in product sales will be made up in
subsequent quarters and led everyone to think that
NABI will improve on its 1st quarter throughout the
year. W/ re: to the HBIG question I had in my
earlier post, it was answered in the call by Gury
saying that NABI has not yet filed but will file
w/FDA by end of year and he expects approval in
1998. He also said he expects the Boca lab to be
licensed in 1998. The call was not negative at all
and the results although lower than desired were
not horrible. If you think about it, the net
earnings improvement from .01 to .04 will translate
into a more favorable P/E ratio especially since
price is coming down and earnings are going up.
Looks like we'll be stuck in the 6-7 range for a
bit. Good luck to all.
