I am not in Tim's private room but probably could go there if I wanted, I think that I am in good terms with Tim.
I can only tell you that I was never asked not to post and I doubt very much Tim would ask something like that from his aquaintances.
IMHO you and Jake have taken over the thread on the principle that it is not "property" of Tim Luke but property of GNET or SI and that, therefore, you can post wherever you want.
You guys did not have the courage to start a new thread but thought that there was some sort of audience, emotional capital, inertia, click$, what-have-you, related to this thread (which, IMHO, there was and was a merit of Tim Luke, not merit of SI, SI-Bob or you).
Now you have discovered that the thread is quasi dead and, LOL, your deduction is that it is Tim Luke's fault!
It seems as if your logic goes like this: "when this thread rocked it was not Tim Luke's merit, now that it tanks it is Tim Luke's fault/conspiracy".
I think Tim Luke can be thankful at you and Jake for managing such a savage contrast for the "before and after" of this thread.
I can only hope you can start your thread, on your terms, and that you are successful at it.
