MU - Maybe he (Q)just wanted to bring expectations down and used the first words that came to mind.

Well if that is the case then I guess he/they must have thought that the analysts were really impressed by the call. I listenend to the cc at the time and my immpression then and still today was that:-

1. Many of the analysts were totally confused about the numbers and the answers didn't seem to enlighten them either

2. The analysts didn't seem to be a 'happy' bunch of guys. Hard for me to describe but I would say they were sort of ....well ...miserable ....or perhaps bored ...or just plain unimpressed. Just my feeling. I mean even the Paine Webber guy, you remeber him, Mr $1,000, even him. Oh sure he seemed to me to try and show some enthusiasm but it just didn't seem to get, you know, excitement going.

I mean Japan going to CDMA, Brazil doing well for NOK CDMA. MSM3000, MSM 3100, MSM 5000 date rates of 64kbs, 300 kbps and over 2Mbps the last being comemrically available next year the others this year... I mean for heavens sake and for fixed wireless as well ( if you even needed it for fixed wireless).

We can't get DSL in Houston this year and next year we will be able to get QCOM HDR on a mbile at over 2MBS....please this is fantastic news. No wonder T doesn't wnat to play. PCS will give their cable TV business a run for its money if data rates like this are comercilly available next year.

Is this company the greatest prospect in the S&P 500 or what

What on earth is going on?

Best regards,

L
