With regard to Ampex's price moves compared to the market, a company profile available with E-Trade accounts shows AXC as having a Beta of 0.56. So, it moves with the market, but only somewhat.

Re: the aved post. Wow, what a cynical post from an obviously disgruntled investor! The only thing Ampex is guilty of is taking the conservative approach and not communicating enough, thus allowing rumors and speculation to run rampant among the investment community.
