Cha2,

<< Which of these are most interesting as possibilities - re e commerce security? Is 724 Solutions one? >>

724 Solutions, is REALLY interesting to me, as is Certicom.

I just spent an hour on the 724 Solutions site and linking off. Meantime that darned calypso went and started thread on SVNX and didn't even tell me, and that threadmate of ours uel_Dave from the north country didn't tell us about this Canadian outfit with all their Canadian strategic partners, and thanks for mentioning my good friend Tim Baker from Gemenos, FR, by way of Wales in your post, and you neglected to point out that QUALCOMM is a strategic partner of 724 Solutions (NASD: SVNX, TSE:SVN) and QUALCOMM is up to something big in the PKI world and you thought mQ could rant and speaking of mQ who is all fixated with "Moonie-shaped lines" or some such nonsense, so I just posted him on this very same topic to take his mind off of recent events:

Speaking of 724 Solution's strategic partner QUALCOMM, I am sure you have seen this tidbit:

"Certicom Corp., a leading provider of next-generation encryption technology, and QUALCOMM Incorporated recently "announced an agreement whereby QUALCOMM has licensed encryption technology from Certicom. Certicom and QUALCOMM have agreed to release the details of the relationship in conjunction with QUALCOMM product announcement plans in the future."

certicom.com

In the back of my mind, I am thinking that Dr. J. has something or 2 up his sleeve and Q is going to announce it next week at GSM World Congress in Cannes. PKI wireless eSecurity (a truly discontinuous innovation) is hot. Put ECC on an ASIC and there will be some interest, put it on a R-UIM as well and GSM land will take notice. We shall see.
