Some might find this interesting. It seems some shorts made a blunder last month. nasdaq.com
Looking at the chart from Dec 15 to Jan 14 there was an increase of 229,792 shares shorted. The share price only fluctuated between 38 and 47 in that time period. This quite possibly means a loss of at least 2.3 million for those shares shorted at today's price, but more than likely they had a margin call last week when the stock price hit in the 60s and above which would have meant an even greater loss.
It just shows the shorts don't always know more than the longs.
