Wow $2800 with discounts. Wonder how much of that companies like VISX get?

When it gets to the point where medical insurance covers 1/2 of the cost, then you'll really see this stuff take off. Both my wife and I would love to have it done (and are both candidates - or so our optometrist tells us), but no way am I gonna shell out $3k x 2.
