NetGear 5-port: buy.com $87

D-Link 5-port: buy.com $89

Addtron 8-port: buy.com $120 + ($10 rebate offer)

CNet 8-port: buy.com $112

LinkSys 5-port: buy.com $74

LinkSys 5-port + 2 NICs: buy.com $92

You might look through these to see what features you like. When I was shopping for a switch I talked to tech-support at NetGear who said all these low-end switches have the same or equivalent basic hardware, (which is not a real great sales pitch but makes it pretty easy to choose).

PS When I was hooking up my switch I found that my cable modem had to be plugged into the up-link port and was told by Intel tech support that that is equivalent to plugging it into a regular port using a cross-over cable. He could have been wrong or I might have got it wrong but that's how I remember it (and it worked).
