Good idea or bad idea to have the temp file automatically delete when the program is closed?

From what you say, bad idea due to "spin up time" when coming back on but good idea to have "clean" data.

My vote goes to clean data - there is NOTHING worse that that bad data because most of the time you don't know that it is bad.
