<<even if you were buying for the long-haul, it would have been better to wait.>>
Won't argue with that, jmac. Still, who knew for certain, right? Personally, I find the after-markets to be a little squishy so I've always waited until at least the next day to get a solid feel for the, well, feel; but that's just me.
I'm glad I've stayed out of margin, lately. And feel for those who were/are in deep; especially the many (I suspect) newcomers to the tech stocks who dumped it all into the Q at the (temporary, IMO) top thinking the four digit percentage gains would go on forever. No fun for anyone.
I was looking at the different stocks I have that were down in the 10% range yesterday; not fun. Only green was Ericy (nice earnings report and a 4:1 split coming up) and Vsat (I have to be careful not to fall in love with this company <ggg>). Still, I think in the long run, I'm a better investor because of the lumps I've take along the way.
And I still think Qcom's a great stock for the new decade. But that's JMO; in the end, everyone makes their own decision.
Best of luck to you, too, jmac. Watching The Game tomorrow?
