ish..I followed your wifes accident with great compassion. In 1978 my surrogate Mother-in Law, age 95 came from the Hospital to my home after suffering a stroke. I was working a full time Job and yet we took her and her younger sister age 87.into our home..My Children got a Crash Course in Nursing care. and she remained there two years. until her death in 1980. we fed her with a spoon until she refused food and then we let go and she died peacefully In 1983 my Husband was diagnosed with terminal Prostate Cancer, I threatened the Doctors life if he "Timeframed him" He did not and my husband lived a near normal life at HOME' on Dilaudid' (A low dosage of Morphine) until his sister visited him when she had the Flu' in January 86..He got the Flu failed fast and died April 8. 86. He was in a Hospital for five days in 83' and 84' The only Meds he was on were Motrin and Dilaudid for pain. There is so much over - medication and over surgery..It is making the National Debt look sick. This was a family choice. It can be done with the help of a good Physician who is willing to help keep them out of a death camp. I learned how to give an Injection of Vitmin B12, I respect the right of anyone to choose Nursing Home or Hospital however I resent the Poor Staffing and Overmedication with no Physician present in a Nursing home..Now BILLARY" wants Medicare to pay for LEGAL DRUGS...Hell and Damnation NO-WAY. The damnable Pharmaceutical Companies will go on OVERKILL' bigtime. I have my daughter off all meds except the baclofen implant which is imbedded in her abdomen and meters this antispodmic drug into her spinal column. She was used by her husband and physician as a guineapig for at least five meds that leave lasting damage. BetaSeron is now known to be a failure and damages the immunesystem in MS patients..She is now in a Rehab Center out of POLK County and is doing well :-( She will walk again, it is just a matter of time since they have now isolated the gene that is damaged by a virus, Christopher Reeves has done much and he too will walk again :-) My parting comment..If you have anyone in a Nursing Home.. Watch over them and make sure they are well cared for kept clean, and are not on 37 different Meds...as many patients are now..:-( BEDSORES' are pure neglect....
