It is 8:45am now in Hawaii. Friend's apartment here has a good view of the city and the ocean beyond. The windows can be slided all around the apartment every which way and a nice breeze comes through. We ate at a really really good Japanese restaurant last night where you simply sit down and say to the sushi cook "I trust you". To start things off, baby squid wrapped cooked crab meet, topped with toasted sesame seeds, no sauce necessary. You eat and eat and finally, reluctantly, say "enough, thank you". The restaurent is Sushi Sasabune, their Los Angeles branch shop is at 11300 Nebraska at Sawtelle, Tel 310 268 8380. Go to them tonight. After the techno buzzy PTC conference I will be moving to a beach place on Feb 2nd, joined by two other friends for Chinese New Year.
