the other thing I've been looking at is this strategy from taxman I followed up on w/ this post... #reply-12658021 I would appreciate any views you, Ken or anyone else has on it. I just got a list of VL5 stocks and I have a sampling of VL1 stocks so I'm going to slowly work myself into this. I think one of the things that lends itself to this strategy is being in a runaway bull market. I still think we're in one, so I think this will be worthwhile to pursue. I am not as convinced on the VL5 side of the equation, but to be fair, I haven't spent any real time on this yet. what I should do is some 'backtesting' on this, but it will have to be done in the background. I was disappointed there was no discussion of this when I posted, but I guess the 'selling puts' thread was not the best to post it on :-)
