Mike:

I backup TC2000 for Stocks to a zip disk and it takes a few seconds, backup file size 630 KB. I backup TC2000 for Mutual Funds to a floppy disk, and it takes 45 seconds, backup file size 400 KB. My computer is a 400 MHz Pentium II, with 128 MB RAM.

After reading your post, I timed a backup of TC2000 for Stocks to a floppy disk. It took 63 seconds for a backup file of 630 KB.

I don't know why it took so long on your computer, and I don't have a solution. As a guess, I'll reduce the usage of memory by closing some other software which are running in the background, next check the system resources.

Julius
