w malloy, QCOM's revenues were as easy to predict 2 years ago as IDC's are today. there is nothing that you can say that could prove otherwise. If you do not plan to have an investment in IDC, you should spend your time elsewhere, in my opinion. I was looking at QCOM's estimated growth rates today. The company is expected to grow 30% between 2000 and 2001. That means that even at the drastically reduced price, it is trading at 80 times NEXT years earnings right now. A PEG of 2.67 on a company that is warning of seasonal slowdowns (after a 40% drop). I would say that this makes IDC look like a more reasonable bet based on valuations. Brian
