If you are trading or investing Indexes, actually once you project your time frame out far enough you might as well just buy and hold, really!

That's is essentially what I have been doing. I have been looking for particular signs of capitulation. Either capitulation buying (the price at which a stock must be owned) or capitulation selling (the price at which a stock must be sold). This tends to put me into the mid to long term strategy, as the signals do not often occur in such a short time frame.

I would enjoy discussing this further with other technicians, should anyone be interested.
