All,

Was just paroosing (sp?) :-) through the new Elek-tek computer catalog and saw the Hughes DirecPC for sale just inside the back cover. The system comes with a 21" elliptical satellite dish, 100' of coaxial cable, 16-bit ISA card, DirecPC Turbo Internet Software, and manuals. The system requirements are Pentium processor, Win95, 16MB RAM, 20MB free hard drive space, modem, and a clear line of sight to the south. The system has a $100 dollar rebate and is now selling for $449. I know Hughes probably has their own ISP, but I wonder if enough get out, FNET could pick up some of the serviceing too. Does anyone know if FNET is offering this type of Hughes package and connection service?

Have a good weekend,
Eric
