One observation though, using the same parameters of your experiment; hold a 2.5 screen away from you at arms length, as one would normally when using a PDA. Now frame that screen with your fingers. What is the size of the frame?

I'm not being confrontational, I guess I would just need to see the display you speak of. As long as three years ago I saw full color, miniature displays, based on plasma technology. My recollection is they might have the needed resolution to support a full HTML web page. This was three years ago and I still haven't seen any mass produced consumer devices come to market with these PDA sized plasma displays. The prototypes you speak of, how far away are they from commercialization?

I think the sooner PDA's can approximate the internet experience of a desktop system, the more explosive the adoption rate will be for these devices. Display technology will be very important in this regard.
