I agree 100% that corrupted cache files demonstrates a bug in the program. I am surprised that there are others that think this is the user's fault. I am also aware of other problems with the software that certainly are not the user's fault. It is too easy to blame the user on something that should of been handled better or correctly by the software.

Even though I have had problems with reliability, my major problem with quote.com is not in this area. It is with the company's policy itself. Quote.com does not accept checks, even certified checks, for payment of services. Quote.com does not accept any form of payment other than credit card. This came as a surprise to me. Now what business is in the position to be able to turn down cash? Since I have had a missing credit card, I needed to put a hold on that account. Now what am I to do? I need my data feed to trade. But having no other credit card, I cannot pay my bill with quote.com even though I have a great desire to do this. I have money I want to give to quote.com. But quote.com simply is not willing to take it. I now have no choice but find another data feed provider. So in the end, it was not the technical problems with the software that had me looking for another service provider. It was the business itself in its policies toward its customers.
