The abstract made it quite clear to me that LNGFR-linked membrane tethering was an unexpected qualitatively/quantitatively fundamental advance in synthetic Fas-based induced apoptosis.

What is most apparent now is that no one on this thread has actually read the paper. What is clear is that to be overly didactic based on an abstract alone falls far short of the dictum, 'Know the literature and never get caught without a reference.'
