Hello again, Ray. I thought of your question Friday afternoon during a conversation with some friends in PA. One, a real estate agent who had expressed zero interest (or knowledge) in the stock market as recent as last summer, told me to buy stock in Williams-Transco, that it would double and split this year. Right after this conversation I talked to the person's girlfriend, the obvious source of the recommendation, who does title searches.

From the girlfriend I found out the "Williams" being referred to is WMB. She is doing title searches for the new gas pipeline, a 42" one, being laid beside their existing ones going through PA into NJ. I mentioned how someone here had said fiber optic cable was being laid with/along side natural gas lines and she said this was not and could not be the case. She said maybe near, but definitely _not_ in the same trench used for a natural gas line.

From what she said, nothing can be laid in the same trench with a gas line, that some kind of marker has to be placed every so often to keep all electrical impulses, naturally occuring and whatever (I can't remember). Also, she has seen Williams blueprints/plans so she can do her title searches and there is no mention whatsoever about cable for the PA-NJ gas line section.

So, at this point someone here mentioned that the cable and gas lines were being laid together yet my title searcher friend says no way, gas and cable must be separated from each other and the Williams plans do not show them together.

All I know is that I am _not_ going to rush out and buy shares of WMB on this person's recommendation and that in frount of my house, some Williams company is going to lay cable but no gas line. Although this person has dabbled in the stock market in the past, it was was highly speculative options. Basically, this person just invests in real estate, about which I have zero experience and less than zero interest.

Lynn
